PODCAST: Collaborative Cinema at The Milwaukee Show

Milwaukee Film’s Collaborative Cinema is a great program that gives young people a chance to get directly involved in the filmmaking process. One of these young people is Nathaniel Schardin, who has been a part of the Collaborative Cinema program since 2007.

This year, Schardin directed his first narrative short, a comedy called The Vampire Formerly Known as Dracula, where a classic Dracula has trouble fitting into the modern-day Twilight/True Blood vampire world. The film will premiere at The Milwaukee Show, tonight at the Milwaukee Film Festival.
In this week’s podcast, Nate and I talked about what went into making the film, directing his first narrative and the great network of people involved in The Vampire Formerly Known as Dracula and the Collaborative Cinema program.
