Swami John and The Night Marchers go! (and go!)

The Night Marchers' second LP "Allez! Allez!" is as good as anything John Reis does. So it's extremely good.

The truth is, you really can’t go wrong with a John Reis release; it’s been that way for ages now, and that’s why “All Hits”, the third track on Allez! Allez! is such a knockout … it’s so true. John Reis, and his galaxy of musical projects (including, but not limited to Drive Like Jehu, Rocket From The Crypt and Hot Snakes) haven’t made “hits” like radio hits per se, but all of these bands of his are way high in the upper percentile of awesomeness, and Allez! Allez! is no exception. Whether he’s calling out incurable jerks between the sizzling riffs on “Loud, Dumb, And Mean” or putting a fine point on the inequities of the American Way in “(Wasting Away In) Javalinaville”, this second elpee from The Night Marchers is loud, fun and relevant.
