Anime Milwaukee convenes Feb 14-16
Colorful, costumed fans to celebrate “Anime” culture
MILWAUKEE – February 10, 2014 – Anime Milwaukee welcomes 6,000 attendees – many dressed as their favorite heroes – to its seventh annual event at the Wisconsin Center and Hyatt Regency Milwaukee from February 14-16. The event is open to the public.
Founded by the Japanese Animation Association at the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee, Anime Milwaukee celebrates the culture of Japan, anime (pronounced “animay”) and comics (manga), as well as other related sub-cultures. Fascination with anime has skyrocketed into a multibillion dollar industry via the internet, where a devoted fan base transcending age and gender revels in its complex plots dealing with emotions, relationship struggles and adventurous quests.
This year’s convention features celebrity guests in the industry, informative fan and guest panels, a costume contest, 24hr video game and table-top game rooms, children’s programming, the Hoshi no Yume maid café in the Hyatt Regency’s rotating Polaris restaurant, a Japanese Lolita fashion show, a rave dance, karaoke, Pokémon events and so much more.

Leah Clark – Voice actor for FUNimation Entertainment and DuArt Films.
Tiffany Grant – Voice actor in 1200+TV episodes, OVA’s and Movies.
Kyle Herbert – credited voice acting in Wreck-It Ralph, Bleach, Street Fighter, Naruto, League of Legends and more.
Bryce Papenbrook– voice actor since 8 years old, voicing numerous video games, cartoons and television shows.
Patrick Seitz– Credited voice acting in One Piece, Full Metal Alcamist Brotherhood, last few Mortal Combat titles and more.
David Vincent – Voice Actor and television producer based in LA, nominated “Best Voice Actor in an Anime” by the American Anime Awards for his work in GUN x SWORD.
