Milwaukee Repertory Theater Welcomes New Board Members

Milwaukee Repertory Theater is pleased to announce that Cecilia Gilbert, W. Randall McKennie, Gregory C. Oberland, Harry Richard Quadracci Ewens, PhD and Ed Seaberg have recently joined The Rep’s Board of Trustees.

January 30, 2013 – [Milwaukee] – Milwaukee Repertory Theater is pleased to announce that Cecilia Gilbert, W. Randall McKennie, Gregory C. Oberland, Harry Richard Quadracci Ewens, PhD and Ed Seaberg have recently joined The Rep’s Board of Trustees. The new slate of board members will be joining The Rep’s Board of Trustees for a two-year term. “Each new board member brings a wealth of talent and expertise to share with The Rep,” said Board of Trustees President Judy Hansen.

BIOGRAPHIES

Cecilia Gilbert has been a part of City government for 30-plus years and has worked in seven departments, most recently the Department of Public Works. Gilbert presently oversees the Department of Public Works’ Support for Business Program and is the Support for Business Liaison, an outreach program that provides assistance to businesses impacted by construction projects. Prior to that, she was the Permits and Communications Manager for the Department and acted as the Department’s spokesperson. Gilbert has been a board member of Visit Milwaukee since 2005, and Chair of the Multicultural Advisory Committee. She is also on the Pabst Mansion Board and Friends of the Milwaukee Repertory Theater. She previously served on The Rep’s Board in the mid to late- ’90s. In 2009, Milwaukee Downtown BID #21 selected her for the “Downtown Cheerleader” Award and in 2012 Visit Milwaukee selected her for a “Lamplighter Award” for increasing tourism and conventions in Milwaukee.

W. Randall McKennie, FACHE is the Vice President of Operations for Aurora West Allis Medical Center, the second largest hospital in the Aurora Healthcare integrated system of care. His direct responsibilities include both clinical services and the guest services that support the ongoing operation of the facility. He is a member of the facility Executive Leadership team which establishes the tactics to execute strategic plans as defined by the parent organization. In addition to the Milwaukee Repertory Theater board, he is also on the board of the Wauwatosa Chamber of Commerce and the Menomonee Falls High School Business Curriculum Advisory Council. He and his wife, Stephanie, are the parents of two adult sons that he describes as two “really good guys.”

Gregory C. Oberland is the Executive Vice President for products, sales and marketing at Northwestern Mutual. In this role, he has responsibility, among other things, for the company’s strategy of delivering financial security to its clients through a holistic planning process that incorporates insurance and investment product solutions. He is also a member of the Executive Leadership Team which oversees Northwestern Mutual’s strategy and operations. In the community, Oberland is on the board of the United Way of Greater Milwaukee. Greg and his wife, Rhonda, have been Rep subscribers for many years. They have four adult children.

Harry Richard Quadracci Ewens, PhD, is the President of Quadracci, Vieux & Sons Coffee based in La Rose, Haiti and Sussex, Wisconsin. Quadracci, Vieux & Sons Coffee is a project of the Vieux and Quadracci families to return 100% Haitian TRUE BLUE (also called Blue Mountain) Arabica Coffee to the world. In addition to making quality Blue Mountain coffee from Haiti available, this project also helps Haitian farmers earn a living by growing coffee in their fields. Quadracci has also worked for Merrill Lynch, Credit and Market Risk, New York City; Chase Manhattan Bank, Global Head Trader and Exotic USD Interest Rate Derivatives, New York City. At Quad/Graphics in Sussex, Wisconsin he has served as a Director on their Board of Directors. He has several patents in the printing industry. Quadracci has a Doctor of Philosophy from Columbia University and a B.A. in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, with Honors, from The University of Chicago. He also attended University School of Milwaukee. Quadracci resides in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the Dominican Republic.

Ed Seaberg is Vice President of IT Operations for Rockwell Automation. In this role he is responsible for IT support services for over 32,000 Rockwell employees, contractors and partners. Ed’s organization operates and supports data centers, and systems and enterprise applications within them, data and voice networks, and the connected workforce’s PC and mobile devices delivered and supported by a global IT Service Desk, distributed Field Services team and global delivery center personnel.

Milwaukee Repertory Theater is a nationally-recognized company that presents compelling dramas, powerful classics, award-winning contemporary works, full-scale musicals, housed in its three unique performance venues – the Quadracci Powerhouse, Stiemke Studio and Stackner Cabaret. The Rep also produces an annual production of A Christmas Carol at the beautiful and historic Pabst Theater.
